Allgäu Walser Pass (AWP) Integration via Tramino

Overview

The Allgäu Walser Pass (AWP) is a regional digital guest card for the Allgäu and Kleinwalsertal region in Germany. It is issued to overnight guests and provides access to free or discounted public transport and local attractions.

Through our integration with Tramino, you can issue the Allgäu Walser Pass digitally to your guests as part of the online check-in process — without any manual paperwork.

What this integration does

From a hotel perspective, this integration allows you to:

  • Automatically create an Allgäu Walser Pass registration for your guests

  • Send guests a digital check-in link before arrival

  • Let guests complete their required data directly with Tramino

  • Ensure guests receive their digital pass in time for their stay

This integration works indirectly, meaning your system connects to Tramino, and Tramino manages the guest pass issuance.

Benefits for your property

  • 🎟️ Better guest experience
Guests receive their pass digitally, without waiting at reception.

  • 🕒 Less front-desk workload
No manual handling of cards or forms.

  • 📍 Compliance with local tourism programs
Supports destination and regional tourism requirements.

  • 📊 Easy reconciliation
Issued passes can be matched with guest stays if needed.

Is this related to police registration?

No — officially, the Allgäu Walser Pass is a tourism benefit program, not a police or immigration reporting system.

However, in some regions it may partially replace certain local guest registration requirements, depending on local regulations.
If you are unsure, we recommend confirming this with your local authority or destination management organization (DMO).

How the guest journey works

Below is a simplified overview of how the process works from booking to pass delivery:

Step-by-step flow

  1. Booking is created
The guest makes a reservation at your property.

  2. Guest data is sent to Tramino
We securely transmit the required booking and guest details.

  3. Guest receives a check-in link
An email or SMS is sent to the guest before arrival.

  4. Guest completes online check-in
The guest enters their information directly in Tramino’s portal.

  5. Digital Allgäu Walser Pass is issued
Once completed, Tramino provides the guest with their digital pass.

  6. Status is kept in sync
The registration status is updated automatically so you stay informed.

What guest information is required

To issue the Allgäu Walser Pass, the following information is required:

Main guest

  • First and last name

  • Nationality

  • Date of birth

  • Address (street, number, ZIP code, city, country)

  • Email address

Optional:

  • Chip card number (if your property uses physical cards)

Additional guests

  • Date of birth (used to determine age and eligibility)

For children, age information is used instead of full personal details, in line with local requirements.

Chip cards (optional)

If your property uses chip cards, you can associate a card number with a guest’s registration.
Available cards can be selected from your existing inventory, making it easy to link them to the correct guest.

What happens on updates or check-out?

  • Booking or guest changes (e.g. departure date):
The guest registration is updated automatically.

  • Check-out:
The guest’s pass registration is closed or cancelled as required.

This ensures your data stays accurate without extra manual steps.

Documents & confirmations

If a confirmation document (such as a PDF) is generated during registration, it will be stored with the booking and can be downloaded later if needed.

Notifications & status updates (optional)

The system can periodically check for updates made directly in Tramino, ensuring that your guest and booking information always stays in sync.

Summary

  • The Allgäu Walser Pass is a digital guest benefit card, not a police system

  • Issued automatically via Tramino

  • Guests complete their own data online

  • Your team saves time while guests get a smoother arrival experience
