How to Manage Your Reservations in Chekin Without a PMS Integration

If you do not have a PMS integration, you can use two different methods in Chekin to obtain and manage your reservation list.

Method 1: Synchronization via iCal

The first method consists of connecting your calendar using iCal.

How do iCals work in Chekin?

You can import your reservations from platforms such as Airbnb or Booking by using your iCal calendar link.

What information is imported with iCal?

When you use iCal:

  • The reservation list will be created automatically in Chekin.

  • Only the reservation dates will be displayed.

  • The number of guests will appear as “1” by default.

Important

This method requires an additional manual step.

Each time a reservation is created, you will need to:

  1. Open the reservation in Chekin.

  2. Click on Copy link (located in the middle of the page).

  3. Send the check-in link to the guest so they can complete their registration.

Method 2: Using the Property Link (Automatic Method)

This method is more automated and does not require calendar synchronization.

How it works

You can create an automatic message in Airbnb or Booking that includes your Chekin property link.

When the guest clicks on this link:

  • A reservation will be automatically created in your Chekin account.

  • The guest will be able to complete their registration directly.

Where to find the property link

You can find it by following these steps:

  1. Go to Properties.

  2. Open the corresponding property.

  3. Go to the Online Check-in section.

  4. In the middle of the page, you will see the property link next to the QR code.

This is the link that you should include in the messages you send to your guests.

Important: Do not use both methods at the same time. If you use iCal and the property link simultaneously, reservations may appear duplicated in your Chekin account.
