Connect with Padword

You can connect your Chekin account with Padword in the Remote Access tab of your property

IMPORTANT: In order to connect to Chekin, you will need to contact Padword, via [email protected] and [email protected] requesting the username and password for the API connection to Chekin.

Include the Reference ID in the email message. You can find it in the pop up for adding your Padword credentials on the Chekin dashboard.

Reference ID format example: Reference ID: [email protected].

1. Go to "properties" in your dashboard

Go to

2. Select your property

Select your property

3. Go to "Remote Access" tab and activate it

Go to

4. Click "Upgrade to premium"

Click

5. Select "Padword" in the dropdown

6. Add your account details and click "Next"

7. Now you can add your doors

Click on "Add door" in the Remote Access tab. You can salect the lock opening type:

  • Code and link

  • Only code

  • Only link

Note: if you have a hotel type account, you have the possibility to add a common door and several private doors linked to your spaces.

This allows you that if you have a general access door, the system generates that door for all your bookings and that each private door has its own access that is only created for bookings assigned to that space.

For example, if you have a reservation in room 10, it generates the key for the common door and the private key for door 10; if you have a reservation in room 5, it generates another key for the common door and the corresponding key for space 5.

IMPORTANT: Every time you add a new room or lock in Padword you will need to ask their support to enable that new lock through the API so that it appears in Chekin.

8. Add an opening period

You can decide when your keys will be working for your guests, configuring check-in/checkout opening hours.

9. Choose your key sharing conditions

Among the different sending options you can program the one you prefer to send the keys to your guests,

  • You can decide to send an email or not, and the time you want to send it.

  • You can show your keys with your guests in the guestapp.

  • You can select which condition has to be met to share the keys, the most recommended would be "all guests have been registered".

10. Keys generation

This tool also allow you to decide when you want the codes to be generated. We recomend to add maximum 7 days before the check in date.
