How to connect SIRE to Chekin

The guest registration process is mandatory in Columbia, and if you manage an accommodation there, you are required to send the foreign guest data to the authorities.

In this article we explain how to activate the SIRE connection in your Chekin account in order to send stated data to the authorities.


1: Necessary Documentation

In order to connect Chekin to your SIRE account you need to use your login credentials that you use to log in to SIRE, as per the screenshots below.

2: Connect SIRE to Chekin in the Chekin dashboard

Once you have the credentials with you, please follow the below steps to connect SIRE to Chekin.

1 - Enter the Chekin dashboard. Go to the dashboard and click the ´Properties´ tab. Click on one of the properties you would like to connect to SIRE.

2 - Click on ´Legal´ and activate the toggle.

3 - The four below fields will appear.

4 - For the first field; ´Automatically send info to´: Select: Colombia SIRE.

5 - Select the type of document. In this field you need to select what you select from the ´tipo de documento´ field when logging into SIRE.

6 - Add the document number. In this field you need to add the document number that you add in the field ´Numero de documento´ field when logging into SIRE .

7 - Add the password. In this field you need to add the password that you add in the field ´Contraseña´ field when logging into SIRE .

8 - Click ´Validate´

9 - It should only take a few seconds to validate, and once it has done so the status will change to ´Completed´

NOTE: Click 'SAVE CHANGES' to save. If you do not save your changes, the information WILL NOT BE SAVED.
