If you're using SiteMinder, you can connect your SiteMinder account with Chekin to automatically import reservations with all it's data.
This is a quick guide to help you connecting your SiteMinder account to Chekin and set up the basics.

To connect SiteMinder to Chekin you have to create a new account.
Note: if you already have a Chekin account created, please contact support for further assistance.
1 - Go to the Chekin registration page and complete the basic information and click continue
2 - Complete the business information required and select your PMS, then click on Continue:
Note: select from the list the PMS connected to your SiteMinder account. E.g: Little Hotelier, SiteMinder Channel Manager, etc.
3 - Once you do that your account will be created.
Now that you have your account created you need to add your properties and then connect them to SiteMinder listings in order to have all the reservations synced in Chekin.
Go to Properties section and click on New property:
Add the property information, useful to generate the guests registration form with all the info needed:
Then add also the credentials of your police account in case you are required by law in your country to send data to the authorities:
Rest of features you can set it up from the first time or in a second moment:
Statistics Connection: Connect your account to send data to your local Statistics Institute.
Online Check-in: Send automatically an online registration form to your guests. Pick up the scheduling options that best fit your needs.
Identity verification: compare the guests ID or passport photo with a real time selfie and match coincidences to verify their identity. If you wish you can just ask your guests to take a picture of their ID, no need to ask for the selfie in this case.
Remote Access: Connect your smart locks and allow Chekin to automatically send a virtual key to the guest (or enable a place to collect the physical key).
Contracts: Activate the generation of Short Rental Agreement between you and the lead guest for any reservation.
Tourist taxes: Chekin calculates the right amount of taxes for each reservation based on the rules you set up and collect the payment on the online check-in.
Security deposit: we block the amount of money you wish on guests credit card to prevent yourself from any damages.
Booking and extra services payments: Provide to your guests a simple, online and secure way to make their deposit.
Once you have completed the setup of your property click on Save.
You will see in the property itself, below its name, a Property ID appearing:
You will have to do the following:
go to SiteMinder activation page;
fill in the form with your SiteMinder account details;
in the field Application Name select Chekin;
in the field Application Property Code add the Property ID you got in your Chekin property.
In a few hours you will get notified by SiteMinder about the positive connection between Chekin and your channel manager and all your reservations will be synced.
End of trial period: how to subscribe*
Once you connect to Chekin you have a trial period of 2 weeks where you can register all the guests you receive in your accommodations.
When the trial ends, you need to complete your subscription to continue using the service. You can do this from the Billing section of your Chekin dashboard.
In order to subscribe after the trial, simply click on “Subscribe” and follow these steps:
First, select the number of rooms or properties (for vacation rentals) of your subscription. The minimum for hotel plan is 10 rooms;
Then, select your preferred billing period. You can choose between a monthly or a yearly subscription;
Lastly, introduce your credit card’s details and proceed to pay for the subscription;
Your Chekin subscription is complete!
Once you have an active subscription and a valid payment method, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of the period. You can change between monthly and yearly subscription whenever you want, and any changes in the number of active rooms or properties will automatically update your subscription so Chekin will charge you only for the active properties or rooms during the corresponding period. In the Billing section you can also check past invoices.
How to disconnect from Chekin
You can cancel your Chekin subscription at any time you want, by going to the Billing section of your dashboard and clicking on “Cancel Plan”:
This will stop your account from renewing automatically, but you will be able to access it until the end of the paid period.

Yes, you can use your existing account; please contact in this case with Support and they will explain you how to connect your Chekin account to SiteMinder.
How can I add bookings to my Chekin account?
All your SiteMinder bookings will be synced in your Chekin account, so you don’t need to generate them again!
How frequently bookings are synced in Chekin?
All your SiteMinder bookings are updated in your Chekin account in real time!
Is the Online Check-in link retrieved in my SiteMinder account so I can add it to my PMS auto emails/messages?
No, for this integration we don't send back to the PMS the online check-in link.
Is Chekin sending guests data back to my SiteMinder account?
No, for this integration we don't send back to the PMS the guests' data.
Is Chekin able to retrieve the source of the booking from SiteMinder? (e.g.: Booking.com, Airbnb, Direct Booking)
Yes, for this integration we do sync the booking source from the PMS.

The app is only for managing reservations and registering guests. All your properties and account settings, as well as the documentation and billing information of your account can be managed from the online Dashboard.
