Connect a Stripe Account for Payments

Connect your Stripe account or quickly create an account in the connection process to link your Chekin balance with

If you want to complete the payment settings to start charging your customers, you can connect a Stripe account to send the balance of the payments in Chekin directly to your Stripe account.

Tip: If you don't have a Stripe account, in the same process of connecting with Chekin you can create a new one.

If you are looking for another option for payment settings, you can choose the SEPA transfer for bank accounts in the European Union.

Connect your Stripe Account

1 - Go to your account and select "Payment settings" from the side menu. If it is your first time, you will immediately get a pop-up window to choose the configuration option or you can click on the button "Change payment settings".

2 - Select "Connect to Stripe" which will redirect you to a Stripe system screen to initiate the connection.

Note: upon termination of the connection you will automatically return to Chekin settings.

3 - On this screen it will ask you to add an email and a "Next" button.

4 - Clicking "Next" the process changes depending on whether if you already have an existing Stripe account or if you have to create a new one.

Connect Existing Stripe Account

  • If you already have an account created, Stripe will automatically detect it by email and the connection will be completed without further information.

  • Once the connection is completed, you will return to the "Payments settings" screen in Chekin and the Status will change to "In progress" this means that Stripe is verifying your account and the connection with Chekin.

  • The verification takes a few minutes, if it is verified successfully, the status will disappear. If there are any errors the status will change to "Error", in those cases you will have to contact Stripe support.

Create and Connect New Stripe Account

  • If you don't have a Stripe account, you can instantly create one without exiting the login process or exiting the current screen.

Important: To complete the registration, your company or autonomous account details are required, along with the bank details, make sure you have all the necessary information before starting the registration. This information is controlled directly by Stripe.

  • Complete the Stripe registration process, all information is required for account creation.

    • Add the email with which you want to create the account, a password and click next.

    • Add a mobile phone number to receive an SMS and complete the verification with the code that comes to your mobile.

    • Complete information about your business, whether it is freelance or company.

    • Add personal data, at least your name, surname and email, the rest you can complete later.

    • Add the tax data.

    • Add your bank details for the transfer of funds by Stripe.

    • Add support Information.

    • Finally you will see a summary with all the information added. Check the information, if something was missing to complete here it will be highlighted in red and you could add it.

    • If everything is in order, click on "Finish".

  • Once the connection is complete, you will return to the "Payment Adjustment" screen in Chekin.

5 - In the payment settings you will see a status "In progress" this means that Stripe is verifying your account and the connection with Chekin. Verification takes a few minutes and when completed, the status will disappear.

If there are any errors the status will change to "Error", in those cases you will have to contact Stripe support.

Note: Verification can take up to 48 hours, although it usually only takes a few minutes.

If your account is connected and verified you will see a confirmation pop-up the next time you return to the "Payment Settings" page.
