If you are a property manager or owner of a tourist accommodation in Spain, there are two things that you must report to the authorities (this goes for Mossos, Ertzaintza and SES Hospedajes):
1 - The guest data.
2 - The booking itself.
GUEST DATA:
The guest data will be reported when you activate the police connection here:
BOOKING DATA:
To send the data of the booking itself, we recommend that property owners and managers exclude OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) as sources when configuring the reservations report. This is because you are only required to report reservation data for bookings made directly through your own website.
For reservations made through platforms like Airbnb, Booking.com, and other OTAs, the responsibility to report the data falls on the OTA itself, not on the property owner or manager.
According to the Real Decreto 933/2021, de 26 de octubre, reservation data must be reported at the following times:
When the reservation is made or the contract is formalized, or if applicable, when it is cancelled.
At the start of the contracted services.
You can activate the booking registration sending using the following steps:
Login to your Chekin account
Click Properties and select the one in question.
3. Select Legal
4. Click ´Enabled´ under ´Booking registration sending´
5. Add the exempted booking sources
You have now activated the Booking registration sending.
NOTE:
The booking data will be sent within the first 24 hours of the booking being imported to Chekin.
The guest data is sent between 20.00h-23.00h UTC on the day of check in.
