12. Once you have done it, you will be redirected to Chekin

Your Chekin ccount is now connected with Akiles

13. Go back to your property

You can start linking your doors with Chekin

14. Add your door

Choose the type of door and connect the external ID of the corresponding door.

Note: if you have a hotel type account, you have the possibility to add a common door and several private doors linked to your spaces.

This allows you that if you have a general access door, the system generates that door for all your bookings and that each private door has its own access that is only created for bookings assigned to that space.

For example, if you have a reservation in room 10, it generates the key for the common door and the private key for door 10; if you have a reservation in room 5, it generates another key for the common door and the corresponding key for space 5.

15. Add instructions to the message

You can add access instructions for your guests to receive along with the keys.

16. Choose when you want the keys to be sent to your guests

Among the different sending options you can program the one you prefer to send the keys to your guests, the most recommended would be "all guests have been registered".

Configuration of doors

1️⃣ Create One Group per Door

Rule: Each lock requires its own Group.

Correct example:

  • Group “Room 1” → 1 gadget

 Group “Room 2” → 1 gadget

2️⃣ Assign 1 Gadget to the Group

❌ Incorrect (2 gadgets):

  • The guest will only see one door
  • PINs will not be generated for the correct door

✔️ Correct:

  • 1 gadget per Group

3️⃣ Verify that the Gadget Belongs to the Correct Lock

Sometimes the client moves gadgets between Groups.

Result → Chekin generates the PIN, but not for the expected door.

4️⃣ Confirm that the Keypad Is Installed

With a keypad → the methods “Only code” and “Code and Link” are available.

Without a keypad → only the “Only link” method appears.

5️⃣ Confirm That There Are No Obsolete Groups

If the client created Groups and later deleted or renamed them, Chekin may still receive outdated IDs.

Result:

  • The PIN is not generated
  • We get the message object_not_found in the logs
  • Chekin shows the wrong doors
